THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GREAT FALLS HAS ISSUED A WINTER
STORM WARNING FOR ELEVATIONS ABOVE 5000 FEET FOR HEAVY SNOW AND
BLOWING SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 5
PM MST SUNDAY. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR ELEVATIONS BELOW 5000
FEET HAS ALSO BEEN ISSUED.

* TIMING AND MAIN IMPACT: SNOW WILL DEVELOP THIS EVENING AND
INCREASE THROUGH THE NIGHT AND INTO SUNDAY MORNING. HEAVY
SNOW IS EXPECTED LATE TONIGHT OVER THE LITTLE BELT MOUNTAINS.
SNOW WILL DECREASE SUNDAY AFTERNOON.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: 8 TO 12 INCHES ARE EXPECTED AT ELEVATIONS
ABOVE 5000 FEET IN THE LITTLE BELT MOUNTAINS. AREAS ADJACENT
TO THE LITTLE BELT MOUNTAINS...INCLUDING MUCH OF JUDITH
BASIN...MEAGHER AND SOUTHEAST CASCADE COUNTY...ARE EXPECTED
TO RECEIVE 3 TO 5 INCHES OF SNOWFALL WITH 1 TO 3 INCHES
ACROSS NORTHERN CASCADE COUNTY...INCLUDING THE GREAT FALLS
AREA.

* WINDS AND VISIBILITY: NORTHWEST WINDS 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS
TO 35 MPH TONIGHT WILL SHIFT TO THE NORTH SUNDAY 10 TO 20
MPH WITH GUSTS TO 30 MPH. SNOW AND BLOWING MAY RESTRICT
VISIBILITIES TO ONE-HALF MILE OR LESS.

* TEMPERATURES AND WIND CHILL: TEMPERATURES FILL FALL INTO THE
LOWER TEENS BY SUNDAY AFTERNOON WITH WIND CHILL VALUES OF
ZERO TO 10 ABOVE ZERO.

* ELEVATIONS: HEAVIEST SNOW IS EXPECTED IN THE MOUNTAINS ABOVE
5000 FEET...INCLUDING THE NEIHART AND HINGS HILL AREA.
