Lost Snowmobiler

By admin - Posted on 23 December 2013

On Sunday, December 22, 2013 it was reported to the Meagher County Sheriff's Office that a 17 year old male from Conrad Montana had gotten separated from his group.

The group was snowmobiling in the Kings Hill area. When they got back to the winter recreation parking lot they noticed the young man wasn't with the group. They attempted to locate him for approximately 3 hours before they called Meagher and Cascade Counties.

Search and Rescue from both counties and members of the Showdown Montana Ski Patrol started searching the area on snowmobiles. The young man was found by a member of the Cascade County Search and Rescue at approximately 11:45pm. He was found in the O'Brien Park area. The young man did not suffer any injuries. He accidentally made a left hand turn instead of a right hand turn.

All of the searchers volunteered their time and deserve a big thank you for all of their efforts.
