In this month the Sheriff’s Office received four hundred forty six (446) incoming calls, twenty two (22) of the incoming calls were 9-1-1 calls, and two hundred three hundred fifty two (352) people coming into the office. For a total of eight hundred twenty (820) people who contacted the Sheriff’s Office. Out of these contacts, sixty two (62) were new complaints.

For the month of February 2014, thirty four (34) were located in the City of White Sulphur Springs, and twenty eight (28) were in the County of Meagher.

Six tickets were issued in the City
four in the County.
(2) Two warrants of arrest were served in the City and zero (0) in the County.
(6) Six sets of civil papers were served in the City and zero (0) in the County.

CITY COMPLAINTS
02-01-2014 PUBLIC ASSIST: Deputy responded to local residence for a civil standby to assist in getting belongings of an individual.

02-03-2014 UNDER AGE TOBACCO POSSESSION OR CONSUMPTION: Sheriff’s Office was contacted regarding a student in possession of tobacco on campus. Sheriff responded and citations were issued.

02-04-2014 SICK CARED FOR: Deputy and Ambulance responded to residence for an elderly female having difficulty breathing. Patient was transported to local hospital.

02-05-2014 FEMALE ADULT BODY FOUND: Sheriff was advised of a welfare check on a local resident. Sheriff and Deputy were able to gain entry into the residence and found she was deceased-incident is under investigation.

02-07-2014 UNDER AGE TOBACCO POSSESSION OR CONSUMPTION: While at a basketball game, Deputy was approached by a student reporting that there was another underage student in possession of a pipe as well as a substance to be smoked through the pipe. The accused student was located and provided the pipe as well as a bag of tobacco. Student was written a citation for MIP.

02-13-2014 HIT AND RUN-TRAFFIC CRIME: Individual came into the office to report her vehicle had a dent from being hit sometime in the last week. Individual was given an MHP White form to fill out for her insurance and Deputy was notified of the incident.

02-15-2014 RADD: Individual called to report that an intoxicated individual had been in local convenience store buying a 12 pk and left. Deputy responded, located the vehicle and found everything to be okay.

02-15-2014 RADD: Local bar owner called to report a very intoxicated customer had left the establishment and was driving. Deputy responded but was unable to locate the vehicle.

02-19-2014 MALE ADULT BODY FOUND: Deputy and Ambulance responded to a male with a self-inflicted gun-shot wound to the chest. Patient was transported to local hospital where his death was later pronounced. Deputies investigated the incident.

02-22-2014 ARGUMENTS/VERBAL: Deputies responded to local Motel for a report of a disturbance. One individual was arrested for disorderly conduct and another was arrested on an MHP warrant.

02-25-2014 SERVING SENTENCE: Individual came into Office to serve a 48 hour sentence.

02-27-2014 INFORMATIONAL: Dispatch received report of an underage female who appeared to be extremely intoxicated in a local business. Deputy responded but found the vehicle she was reported to be in at her parent’s house. Deputy made contact with the mother regarding the incident.

02-28-2014 SICK CARED FOR: Deputy and Ambulance responded to local residence for an elderly female with numbness in her right foot. Patient was transported to local hospital.

COUNTY COMPLAINTS:
02-02-2014 RAN OFF ROAD-TRAFFIC INJURY: Dispatch received report of a one vehicle roll-over accident on Hwy.12 East. Passerby had picked up driver and taken her to the Checkerboard Inn. Deputy and Ambulance responded, driver was transported to local hospital and MHP investigated the accident.

02-04-2014 INFORMATIONAL: DPHHS called requesting a deputy respond to a residence and check on the welfare of a month old child. Deputy responded and investigated the incident-his findings were relayed to DPHHS case worker.

02-10-2014 RAN OFF ROAD-TRAFFIC PROPERTY: State plow driver called to report a one vehicle slide off with no injuries. Dispatch contacted wrecker to get the vehicle out.

02-12-2014 FOUND GUN: Billings PD called to report a man found a gun in Bair Reservoir and wanted to turn it into them. The guns serial number was searched and there were no hits attached to it-individual who found the gun asked if he could keep gun if no one claims it.

02-13-2014 RAN OFF ROAD-TRAFFIC PROPERTY: Local tow truck driver called to report a one vehicle non-injury slide off. Deputy responded and MHP investigated the accident.

02-14-2014 ANIMAL-TRAFFIC PROPERTY: Individual came into the office to report hitting a deer causing considerable damage to his vehicle. Deputy investigated the accident for his insurance.

02-16-2014 DRIVING WITHOUT A DRIVERS LICENSE: Deputy mad traffic stop on vehicle and found driver did not have a valid license and had fictitious plates on the vehicle. Several citations were issued and the vehicle was towed to impound.

02-17-2014 SUSPICIOUS PERSON: Individual called to report that when they returned home she thought she saw someone on her porch. Deputy responded but was unable to located anyone in the neighborhood.

02-21-2014 RAN OFF ROAD-PROPERTY: Department of Transportation called to report that a semi had slid off Hwy. 12 West MP 28.5. Deputy responded and MHP investigated the accident.

02-28-2014 RAN OFF ROAD-TRAFFIC PROPERTY: Broadwater County S.O. called to report a vehicle slide off with no injuries or damage. Deputy responded and located the vehicle-driver was given ride to town and the vehicle was towed the next day.

02-28-2014 RAN OFF ROAD-TRAFFIC PROPERTY: MT DOT called to report a slide off on Hwy. 89 North. Deputy responded as well as wrecker. Several vehicles had slid off the road and were given assistance.
